Patrick & Thomas When your grandfather was purchasing the new Imperial for $7,810.20 I was a Sgt stationed at Fort Hood, Texas with a new 1975 AMC Tan colored Hornet Hatchback with the following options: X pkg, 304 V-8, A/C, Posi-Trac, Console shift automatic, and AM/FM. I ordered the car on the first week of Nov 1974 and the total cost was $2,963 dollars ( This cost was more than the '73 Gremlin that I had from the same dealer with the same options ). Did your grandfather spend some time in Korea between cars, as I did ??? I kept the Hornet until May of 1981. When I returned from Kaiserslautern the car was sold to another ( in Germany ). Any ole way I am glad that you still have your Imperial in your family.
