Was this the 64 Ghia that was used in the Mission Impossible series?

If the show was filmed on the Universal Studios lot, then I believe I have see the actual car. Some friends in Santa Ana, CA bought a '64 Ghia limo from Universal several years ago and still have it, as far as I know. It was first used in some movies, then slipped in stature to sit-coms, and finally was used to schlep equipment around the lot before Universal decided to dump it. It is a lovely car, and is in loving hands, with owners also of a '55 Imperial Newport.

Actually I've seen that episode quite a few times. My guess was Ford used the Imperial as the limo to transport the Russian diplomat since back then, the Russians were the 'bad guys'! LOL! Cool '64 limo. I always enjoy seeing that episode to get another look at that car!

I was really surprised to see a 1964 Imperial Ghia Limo last night on the Andy Griffith Show broadcast on TV Land cable station. Those shows always had Ford autos which added to my surprise. I had never seen that show but it was after Barney Fife had moved to Raleigh to work in police work. He was in charge of finding a private home in Mayberry for an international US / Soviet summit. Barney ended up using Andy's home. When the diplomats showed up, they were riding in the Imperial Limo. You never know when those cars will show up.
