RE: IML: have you seen this car

Dear Both

Merry Christmas , mileage is the thing that wears out parts so you can be fairly certain that your car has done enough to wear out its suspension . If it only did 10,000 miles per year for its first ten years of life thats a 100,000 ,then in the next 37 years it maybe covered only 48,000 which is only around 1300 per year so very low mileage ! but what ever, you have a great car.

Merry Christmas.

hi guys
at this time of writing our 57 4dr crown southampton is in the shop for front suspension work, i dread the phone ringing ,it is usually the garage man asking for more parts, it reminds us of the MONEY PIT film. we were hoping to get it back for christmas for a winter cruise but that looks highly unlikely now.
anyway i was pondering the history of this car , and why the parts are so worn out ,it has supposedly only done 48000mls from new . A utah state inspection sticker dated 1988 on the windshield records 46500, this could tally with what the salesman told me at the time of purchase ; ie that it was from an estate sale and had been stood for a few years , he said that the previous and only owner was deceased . i was curious to know if anyone has ever seen this car years ago when it was driving around UTAH pre 88.

our car was formally owned by a clair symes 1196S 300E
SALT LAKE CITY, metallic bronze [code N ] vin C57 8222 , we brought the car from classics and more in SLC , we think they over stated the condition a bit ,sorry make that quite a bit
kind regards

AND A MERRY CHRYSLERMAS TO ALL !
