Re: IML: 63 Imp Conv Near Chicago

I have a "round" steering wheel for a 60. It isn't really round, sort of half way between square & round. I bought it from Mitchells about 15-16 years ago.

I would have to agree that it seems to be a basket case. It is close enough to me to tempt me into goin' an' takin' a look-see.
On another note; I was reading my Oct '62 Popular Science earlier today. In the new vehicle preview it mentioned that a round steering wheel was an option on the Imperial. I've never seen one. Has anyone out there heard of or seen one? Alex 63 Crown

There have been several on Ebay this year. This one seems to be much more rusty than the others were, but you can't really tell unless you go look. I would say if that much rust shows up in the pictures, there is a good chance that it is beyond saving.

WOW, that's one of a whopping 531 manufactured! Somebody need to snag
this! Rare, rare. There are 7 listed in the Imperial Club registry,
and only 3 of those are in the USA. And now this one's turned up.
