    Joseph: You need to consider two things. Will this fit onto the carb correctly? Will this clear the a/c compressor? Most likely the first answer is yes, the second depends on whether or not your car is a/c equipped. As for harm to the engine, the only way that will happen is if you decide to fill the air cleaner housing with sand! Good luck and happy bidding! Alex 63 Crown
