IML: Front brakes. 48 Imperial Crown

Ned:
In the event you don't have a Shop Manual, I have a 48 Manual for
Chrysler.
and also a 50 Dodge which uses the same
front brake set up. The set up is the same with the single pistons for
front & rear shoes on the Chrysler & Dodge.

As a Shade Tree mechanic, I go by the premiss, "If it was put
together, it will come apart." The anchor bolts are Eccentric and are
critical when adjusting the heel and toe on re-assembly. I learned this
embarrassing lesson the hard way after a round trip to Tahoe from the
Bay Area when I popped a cylinder piston after returning home. If I were
a cat, I'd
have 8 lives left. :)

Just a thought, but if you have access
to an air hammer ( with adjustable air pressure) would it be possible
to Loosen the nut & use the air hammer to remove the bolt. Beats
swinging a 10 pound brass hammer. :)

Gotta go. They want me back at the asylum.

Jim
