You've figured out the bulb usage correctly for the marker and cornering lights. The cornering lights are controlled by the turn signal switch - there are 3 added wires for the cars with cornering lights (which includes all 67/68 Imperials). Your FSM will tell you which wires to check to see if the problem is in the switch or not. You are aware that these work only when the headlights or parking lights are on, right? If your car can be adjusted to the right ride height, I see no reason to look for better torsion bars. These bars have been holding the car up for 37 years, I doubt they are going to sag further soon. The Moog parts come across eBay frequently, I found what I needed by just watching for them. I think many if not most are still available from good parts stores also, although I haven't tried that source. I've used the NAPA shocks as listed in their catalog - and they seem to work fine, without modification. I know there are premium shocks sold - but I'm not convinced you can measure any difference in ride and handling on these big barges. They feel like they did when the cars were new, as well as I can recall from way back then. Murray Parks not only had the best price and shipped the hardware out quickly, he was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with, as was his wife. It was a really great experience after the last time I tried getting parts for my car... Today I pulled it back out front to take a closer look at the front suspension. The bushings don't look bad, but I don't think I can allow myself to just pull the spindles and swap them out. I think the next step is for me to go through my Moog catalog and round up all the part numbers for the wearables (that are available). I'm also thinking new shocks would be pretty easy to install with the lower control arm off. Anybody try it this way? What exactly needs to be ground down on the KYB's to fit? Is it the outer metal loop on the shock, or is there an inner metal sleeve on the busing? It looks like the torsion bar adjusters are pretty far in. I didn't see if they were all the way in or not, but they are pretty close. Anybody know roughly how many threads should be visible for an average installation? I'm betting new bars aren't available. I think these are probably useable, but I'll find out when they hit the road. The motor is running a little rough, so I need to take a little time to look at it was well, but I got distracted with some of the electrics tonight. The front cornering lights do light up when the headlight switch is set to the parking light setting. This appears to be through the lower bulbs. The cornering lights are not lighting up when the turn signals are on. I'm assuming this is the upper bulb (with the angled reflector). I swapped the lower bulb into the upper socket, still no light. Any idea what I should be looking at? Thanks, Rob McCall '67 LeBaron ----------------- http://www.imperialclub.com ----------------- This message was sent to you by the Imperial Mailing List.
