Actually, 1990 is the only year the Imperials had the amps on the speakers and 91 started the separate amp in the trunk. For the 91 and up cars, the rear speakers gave two inputs as they are a two component speaker. It's unlikely one wire came undone. More likely the speaker is bad. On my '93 they do not, but there is a special amp in trunk bolted to the back of the rear seats.
