What a bunch of snakes - you could buy a pretty darn nice Imperial for that kind of money. Out here in R.I. I can get a torqueflight rebuilt almost anywhere for five or six hundred bucks. If nobody else has a solution for you, I'll try to get in touch with my San Diego relatives - they're mostly new-car people, but they have a motor home with a 440 / torqueflight powertrain.
