IML: Special Handling

The Trailer Towing Package option included a suspension upgrade package and
that is typically coded with a code letter/number combo. The separate
fender tag is different in that the suspension package would just be the
code on the regualar data tag. I'm to the thinking that Brad is on the nose
with this one. I think that special ordering a car by the mid '70s was
becoming pretty rare, hence the special tag.

I have it on good authority that "Special Handling" simply means it was a
car that was ordered to spec by the customer. This was not just a car that
was on it's way to the dealer. This car was ordered by the customer with
the features they wanted.

Isn't "special Handling" a package that includes items such as bigger =
sway bars or stiffer springs or revised steering geometry etc etc what =
is really being referred to?
