I have it on good authority that "Special Handling" simply means it was a car that was ordered to spec by the customer. This was not just a car that was on it's way to the dealer. This car was ordered by the customer with the features they wanted. Please quote this message in your reply. Otherwise I will be unable to reply to your message. Being this is a relatively late model run, 4/1/74, this could make this less of a possibility, but not totally rule it out. With the headlamp option, security package, and quite a number of other options, it looks like a well equipped car. Being its in Michigan, maybe Special Handling indicated a corporate personnel special ordered vehicle? One day, 40 minutes to go, at $861, bargain price for this very limited production Imperial coupe. Wish I had the time/space/moolah trifecta to be in this horse race.
