Dear Rob,

I had a similar situation happen.  I didn't follow through on it 
because I had other, bigger, more important issues in life, but if I 
had followed through this is what I was told to do.

Talk to an attorney you trust in your town.  They will have a directory 
of attorneys in the town where the individual you're talking about 
lives.  Based on this, your attorney can give you the name of a few 
attorneys in that city who specialize in the area of law you need.  
That attorney can be hired to represent you.  Keep all the records you 
can.  The attorney in Arkansas can file for you.  it's possible you may 
not have to go there at all.

Another thing I did was contact the local Sheriff and had him go over 
and talk to the individual in my case.  It got his attention, that's 
for sure.

I regret not pursuing the crook who got me.  These people count on the 
distance and effort involved to deter you from pursuing them.  Be 
stronger than me, go get the SOB!
