Hi list, A big Montanaaaaa tip of the hat to Mark Evans. I think I now know what the little black box (OK it is silver) is. If you look at the link that Mark sent it shows an add stating that they moved. When you open that link it shows that they specialised in garage door openers. I suppose there is a door that opens every time I have pushed that fool button. There is another possibility. The car came from Western Montana. That region is mountains and valleys. In 1955 there was probably just a few radio stations in the area. Population in that area was nothing like it is now. I suppose it could also be some type of antenna booster. I will check on that this morning. I never thought of either of these things. All this time I thought it was a 6-12 volt converter. I am going to investigate further and will let the list know.
