IML: Sell your 57-60 Convertible for $50-75k? I would.

There was a single headlight 57 convertible for sale on ebay recently. It needed some things and the price was a bit (maybe quite a bit?) high, despite being a very nice car (which I mysteriously can't find listed anymore). I wrote and asked the seller how they had figured that the car was worth their asking price in the politest way that I could and got a rather sharp reply.
He informed me that he'd once offered $75k for a 57 convertible that he didn't get and that he focuses exclusively on 57-60 Imperial convertibles and put himself across as an expert in the field. I don't know much, but I do know of about 5 really delightfully complete cars that have closed in the last few years in the $20-28k range, hardly what he was asking for a car with an incorrect interior and a respray, but what do I know, being on ebay almost daily and scanning the professional auction results for the last few years?
Anyway, I was sort-of surprised that I'd not run into him anywhere but on the other Imperial that he listed for triple the market price previously nor had he heard of me. I pay attention to that area of the market pretty well, but I wrote back that I'd be happy to try to find owners that were willing to part with their cars as a response to his offer to buy cars for top dollar all day long if they were for the prices that I mentioned as current market values. This could just be bragging on his part, but if you have a car that's worth $25k (or lots and lots more) to you, please politely write to:
WRefakis@xxxxxxx and mention that you're open to selling if the price is right and that I referred you. You never know what could happen.
