Quoting RandalPark@xxxxxxx: > problem. Ignition problems and fuel problems mimic each other in symptoms of > poor performance. > Unfortunately, I have had some fuel delivery problems in my 68 LeBaron. In my case, it happens at WOT and higher rpms, and its not repeatable. In my case, it tends to happen more often in warm winter days when the volatility of the fuel is too high for the ambient temperature, and it may be related to restrictions in the fuel line. At full throttle, its generally easy to tell between ignition and fuel delivery. If the problem is insufficient fuel flow, you lose power completely for a few seconds (super lean mixture gets beyond combustibility limits), and the power will return after you let off the throttle. If the problem is ignition, you have individual cylinders missing here and there, but the car continues accelerating. Also, ignition problems will often occur at less than WOT, whereas I have never experienced fuel delivery problems at part load.
