Thanks Michael,
I have heard from some other people that I could bring the car to Las Vegas and keep it registered in California, as long as Nevada authorities did not catch it. I just got back from Las Vegas, and I really think the Imperial would have a very hard time there. Even all of the coolant boiled out of my regular driver on the way there, and I was stranded 70 miles outside of Vegas on the side of I-15 in the middle of the desert with temperatures of 112 degrees and very high winds. It was like driving into hell. Fortunately I had a jug of water with me which enabled me to make it to the crest of a mountain and first exit where there was a broken down old gas station that I was able to get some coolant. The stoplights were also extremely long in Las Vegas. The longest I have encountered anywhere. I was thinking if I knew how to knit, I could probably make a sweater sitting at one of them. The heat combined with these long stoplights would have the Imperial in an overheating tissy within minutes. I swear I will never say it is too hot again in Southern California.
