Remco, thanks for the info, you have confirmed my suspicions. I think I will treat this as a scam unless I am convinced otherwise.  Too bad, as this one looked good at first glance, and I know these cars have a following in that part of Europe.

 

And thanks to all others for your responses, you have confirmed my suspicions regarding the other responses.  The lack of interest in the price and condition was a bit of a alarm bell to me also.  It sounds like the person claiming to be from New Zealand is one of the more blatent scammers.  I will also insist on wire transfers as well, to weed out the crooks.

 

And Dan Robertson, good luck on your trip.  I am in Edmonton also, and know exactly what route you are taking.  Hopefully all goes well, and asmost as important, the weather stays decent and allows a nice scenic voyage.

 

Anyway, thanks for the advice, as usual, this group is great.
