Question for all the transmission specialist 1960 Imperial

George,
 Im glad you could read through the lines. I get in a hurry guys sorry. Locking it in low by what? Just pushing the 1rst gear button? How would you correct that? IS that an adjustment thing with the shifter cable? Again to all I apoligize for getting in such a hurry.

Tim, is that on your 60? sounds like it is engaging 2 gears at once, try locking it in low and see what happens, George.

 I jacked the rear off the car up tonight after the test drive. It seemed that a brake was being applied when it shifts to a different gear. I jacked it up enough for the rear tires to clear the ground, about 2". The cars idles really nice when I engaged Drive. When the engine RPMs were raised it shifts to a different gear and it starts to bog down the engine. Just like a brake being applied on the drive shaft.
