I suspect you can still order them online from the several various online car parts websites. Pep Boys and similar chains usually have the brands that they can get "deals" on, which is why they promote some brands and not others, typically. I suspect in many cases, their sales people are not old enough to know the merits of particular brands over others, just what they are supposed to sell to make money.
There might be other auto supply chains that will still carry they plugs or have availability on them--even if they are on a special order basis. In the mean time, online shopping might be the best alternative.
