A 90s Imp showed up at the local U-Pull-It (outside Philly). As is often the case, there is no apparent reason for the "junking" and the car looks very nice. It's a dark red color with gray lether interior. Body condition looked very good at a glance, interior excellent, too. The brake booster/master cylinder is gone, and so is the intake manifold and back cylinder head. If anyone wants parts from this car the time to act is NOW since turnover in this yard is very, very high. Two weeks tops and this thing will be on it's way to China or India. The type of cars showing up in this yard is unbelievable. Philadelphia has gotten tough regarding unregistered/uninspected vehicles and will tow them whether they're on a public street or not. Some of the entries I noted yesterday were a late 80s BMW 750iL (12 cylinder flagship), a late 80s Benz 420 SEL, a mid 80s Benz 190E, and several 3 series Beemers. That's in addition to the normal assortment of late model Suzukis, Hyundais, Daewoos, and other imports that seem to get scrapped for minor collisions. These cars will be violated by morons with little or no tools who destroy more than they take and then complain about dirt cheap prices. It's pretty shocking.
