Weather seemed to play a major role in attendance at the New Jersey Imperial
gathering yesterday. Only four cars were able to attend, two more tried but
unfortunately broke down on Saturday. Rain was predicted but it only rained
a short while in the early morning and then remained mostly cloudy all day
except for some short bursts of sun in the afternoon. Six Imperials were
present:
I hosted the meet and had my two cars there, 64 Crown Coupe and 66 LeBaron
Don drove his 68 convertible (top went down in the afternoon)
Bill drove a 68 Crown four door
Greg drove a 73 four door
Jeff drove a 56 four door (not a South Hampton) a very beautiful car.
Mike and his wife came down from CT but could not bring their 62 four door.
It was experiencing technical difficulties (overheating)
Valory was planning to drive her 65 four door Crown but it decided it wanted
to stay home with a leaky radiator that needed a recore, she drove another
car.
Everybody that attended had a great time !
The NJ Imperial owners group is planning another event on Saturday, MAY 22.
We will be meeting at SAMMYS DRIVE-IN in Phillipsburg, NJ on Route 22 WEST
across from Phillipsburg Mall. Starting time is 4pm. PLEASE PLAN to attend !
