Yes, the CA statewide meets have held every year since 1984.
But starting in 1997 people like John Brauninger and "Papa" Tony Lindsay
started to photograph the CA statewide meets. I could not wait until the
photos were posted after each meet. It was almost like being there. I was
hooked, so in 2001 I decided to go to Solvang to see the Imperials in person.
I took a few photos and great people like Elijah did a wonderful presentation
job posting the images.
I missed '03, but with luck we will have '04 images in two weeks.
Again, this is a meet that should not be missed. I have never been
disappointed by the owners and their Imperials. On of these years I would to
ship my Imperial so I could win the "longest distance" traveled trophy.
