Where is this rebuilder located? Near where you are?
As some have stated, a Chrysler Reman unit might be a better alternative. One HUGE consideration is the Chrysler warranty compared to a private rebuilder's warranty. Meaning, if you're out somewhere and it has a problem, you get it to a Chrysler dealer and provide appropriate documentation of the purchase and installation of the Chrysler Reman transaxle and, if it's still in the warranty period, it's their baby. In the case of a rebulder's warranty, you could well be required to pay the bill and then submit your expenses to the rebuilder for reimbursement. Quite a bit of difference! Plus, with any manufacturer's reman transmission, you know that everything's to OEM production specs instead of what a private rebuilder might perceive is "good".
Not to say there are some great transmission rebuilders out there, but there are so many areas where they might skimp in places you can't see until it's too late. With the OEM manufacturer's unit (i.e., Chrysler, Goodwrench), they should not put anything in there that would not go into a new vehicles, I suspect, and all upgrades made to later production units should be in their reman units too.
Make sure that all cooler lines are flushed too! If the radiator trans cooler will not come clean and flow correctly, get another one/radiator. ALSO, be sure to use only the trans fluid that Chrysler specs for that vehicle's transmission!!!
