Digital Display Problem

I posted this question with my first message, but since I didn't get any
reply, I thought I would post it again since my first message was quite
long.

My Imperial 1993 has developed a "stuck" indicator in the digital volt
gauge. Does anybody have ever heard about what you can do to reset it
somehow? Would disconnecting the battery for a little while to reset the
onboard computer help?
