Well...I am just getting my 1929 Imperial L*80 painted and it is costing me £3000 which at the current rate of exchange works out at about $5400 and I am quite happy with the price..2 years ago it cost me £4250 to get my Alvis Speed 25 painted...and the Imperial has a complex 2 tone scheme covering all the raised mouldings. it doesnt seem that long ago the body shop was embarassed that a bare metal respray on another Alvis had cost £300...he had done 100 hours at £3 per hour! (15 years ago in fact!)
