I, for one, DID see that 74. It was beautiful, beautiful car and VERY
low mileage. I watched the auction with interest because I parted out
an identical 74 LeBaron in the mid 80s. Same color combo, which I liked
very much. VIN YM43T4C197238
In that sad story a teenage girl was given permission to take grampa's
treasured Imperial for a short errand and ended up sliding into a
utility pole, hitting right at the joint between the front fender and
the driver's door. The dash was buckled!
The car had 95k but had always been garaged and well-maintained. It was
a real shame.

By the way- did anyone else notice that the nice 74 on ebay sold for
$6850.00 yesterday? Quite a high price for that car.
I was watching that auction and wishing I had the extra cash to purchase
that car. Love the color, the LOW miles and the options.... and I tend
to
prefer the 75 over the 74!
I think its a great testament to the car. Finally getting something in
price what they should be worth. I have had several 75 Imperials and I
loved the way they drove, rode and looked. Someday I will again own a
75
Imperial! Now I have to pray that the prices don't go up faster than I
can save the cash to buy one!
