George, my 54 New Yorker uses the same Carter M-840-S
fuel pump & I had mine rebuilt by Hal Houghton in
upstate NY. You can find him online at:
www.classicpreservation.com
He's very knowledgeable & responsive to questions. The
phone there is: (518) 674-2445
Good Luck,
Bob Schoenberg

**P.S. my fuel pump did not have a glass bowl, nor
does my 53 Imperial with the same 331 engine. I'm
quite certain that Hal can help you in any event.
