Wires, wires, everywhere!

Hi All!...another question for those more 'adventuresome' members out there.
I am seriously considering (meaning, do I even 'think' about doing this!)
removing the wiring harnesses in the doors, trunk area, etc of my '66
convertibles and making new wiring harness for the car. I know, why do this
unless it is a necessity! I guess I just hate troubleshooting electrical
problems and about the only way I know of eleminating these problems is to
try and remove the cause..a messed up, or just plain 'old', wiring harness.
My question is, has anyone out there tried to do this or even know of anyone
who has??? from what little I have heard via the IML to date ITS VERY
EXPENSIVE, ITS A LOT OF WORK, ITS VERY EXPENSIVE and last but not least, ITS
VERY EXPENSIVE. That is, if I have someone else, some company, make the
harness for me. Any suggestions at all??????? am I probably biting off more
than most people can chew? (I have no experience in making a harness and
woudl have to the wires, connectors, tape, etc. needed to do the job).

Also, by the way, HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! lets hope 2004 see's every one of the
IML members win the Lottery in their home state at least one time!!!
Thanks all!
Dan Melnik/ (2) 1966 convertibles
