Gimmickry and Gadgetry



This is more of a design thing but I've always wondered why we had to hide the
windshield wipers in the 70's.

I have often wondered what happened to the flush "hidden" door handles
on the late 50's / early 60's Chryslers.  Now they're back.  But
carmakers went back to a more conventional design for a number of years.
