My experience with swivel seats...

Although I do not own an Imperial with swivel seats, I did purchase a new '75 Olds Cutlass Supreme that was equipped with them.  It was a novelty at first and I tried to get into the habit of using them every time I opened the door to get out of the car.  That lasted about two days!  They might as well have been regular seats from then on!  Occasionally I would use them if I my passenger was elderly and needed assistance getting in and out of the car.  But I found them a bit of a nuisance and a little time consuming when I just wanted to get up from the seat and get out of the car.  But, I'll bet there is someone younger than I who has restored one of these Cutlasses who really thinks they are cool!  In a daily driver (like mine was), they were just another gadget whose novelty soon disappeared.
