My 65 Crown, bought 2 years ago, came with a steering wheel with the upper and lower portion made of lucite. There was about a 4 inch solid color piece at the bar in between them. As I have studied pictures on 65's, I have seen a totally solid color (this was in the sales brochure). I've seen a lucite top and solid bottom. I've also seen one where the middle portions are about 8 inches wide. Like most everyone else, the lucite was pretty shot. I chose to have the wheel repaired and then leather wrapped rather than paying the premium price for restoration. Maybe one day, after all these other bills are a faint memory, I'll get it done. In the meantime, I'm really curious about thes. Does anyone know the history of these steering wheels and why I would find such differences? Looking forward to the Gulf Shores meet in January. Thanks and Happy New Year, Casey 65 Crown 4 door (almost done, maybe I'll have it in time for Anniston)
