Im not sure if I blame the "import" car community for some of the hate
towards old cars, but it seems that way. I used to fiddle with hondas and I
loved it . It was great 1900lb car 275hp turbo charged it was a blast to
drive and I still wa able to manage a 26mpg fuel economy. But what stopped
me from going on was the punks that were involved with the sport. they think
that if they cut their muffler off to make it loud they had a Porsche
killer. Its so annoying. My car (honda) looked like any other civic...that
is until you heard the turbo spooled. No loud exhaust, no Transformer body
kits...nothing Now all I will buy has to be presmog 74 and older. I am only
26, but my love for old cars never left me. I can remember when I was 10yrs
old and all I wanted was a 67 camaro or the 64 belvedere that my dad owned
as a kid. everyone has their tastes and I just think that if you forget
about hating other things you will have more fun with what you got. Not all
import people are like this, but the majority now are...some muscle car guys
are like this too as we have heard... I like all cars...from my 2003 honda
accord to my 98 chevy truck, to my everlasting project 40 ford tudor sedan,
to my newly accquired 63 Imperial. I used to think that the Imperial was
kinda weird looking...that is until I drove it(what a beauty!!!).
Appreciation and respect go along way, but when someone becomes too "loyal"
to a brand I notice tunnel vision takes over. Sorry I had to vent a
little...
