Thank you, Paul and John, for the E brake hose clip info. If there is no clip, then mine doesn't fit tight enough for a good seal. More hose from NAPA. My '72 Newport has a new timing gearset. Upon catastrophic failure of the nylon cam gear, I found the chain loose enough to lift right off the cam gear while still mounted. The new steel set has made the expected improvement in the motor's performance and smoothness. I don't recall the 'replyer', but thanks to whomever suggested the use of some epoxy to the phenolic switch piece in the controller for the direction of the dial indicator on a Bendix Electro Touch-Tuner. While this worked on the 1st breakage of this piece, the outer two next weakest links broke upon installation. Plan B was to precisely cut out a replacement piece out of the plastic lid of a recently devoured deli dish. This worked well enough tho it was a still a little fragile in motion. The design upgrade now includes a slim piece of said plastic lid that is routed thru the 2 tiny microspring holes on 2 of the 4 tiny copper pieces held together by the two microsprings that locks the pieces together and provides a little more stiffness for this plastic connector. If anyone would like to fix their Electro Touch-Tuner's refusal to reverse dial direction at the end of 'search', I can give further details to repair the likely offending parts including the patented double needle nose plyer splaying technique!.
