67 trivia

Were the translucent cornering lamps on the '67 ever painted to match 
the body?

I have seen a '67 where the circular area around the eagle in the 
cornering lamp has been painted to match this body.  Was this factory, 
or someone just getting creative?  This is the only one I've seen.
