The way to track down a vacuum leak is to take a 3 foot or so section of
garden hose, put one end to your ear and the other to the suspect location.
The hissing sound is the most sensitive way to track down an air leak. I
use a stethoscope, but garden hose is nearly as effective, and a whole lot
cheaper!
