The spotter's guide is not quite correct. The 1981 and 1982 Imperials came with red centre caps. The 1983 Imperials came with clear (white) centre caps. The 1983 parts catalogue lists the clear (white) cap but there is no mention of the red cap. If you check the brochures there is one car in the 1983 brochure with red centre caps, but ir is actually a 1982 Imperial The photo was carried over from the 1982 brochure but not updated.
