This didn't come from me, I don't believe. Maybe the other Dick B. is involved? If you have the 82s standard "ETR" radio, I don't understand why you would want to change it- they are superb! If you have the older style analog tuned radio as used in the 81s and some 82s and are frustrated by the drift and warm-up problems, perhaps you can find the quartz tuned "ETR" type in a junkyard 82/83 and still have a correct radio for your 82, but with modern performance.
