'74 LeBaron

Rich,

I was looking at a '74 LeBaron down the street from my shop today.  How
ironic! This one isn't as nice as the one you're interested in though.  It
has rust in the rear quarters and at the base of the sail panels.  The
mileage is high at 105K and they are willing to take 1,500 for it but not
any less.  It needs a lot of work.  I had planned on looking in my price
guide when I got home and now that I see your post, I will take a look.

According to the Old Cars Price Guide (December issue) a #2 LeBaron (2 door)
is valued at  4,150 and a 4 door is 3,350.  A # 3 2 door is 2,350 and a
4door is 1,900.  I've heard this publication is high and you may want to
check the CPI Guide.  I think the values in it are ridiculously low but that
is my opinion.  Maybe the car's value would be somewhere between the values
in the two publications.
