check gauges light on '73

The purposeof this light is to warn the driver if
anything is wrong with the car.  If any of the gauges
-- temperature, oil pressure, fuel, or alternator --
go outside of their "normal" range, this light will
come on to get the driver's attention.

If your friend's Imperial is below about 1/4 tank of
gas, this light will come on.
