Gas Tank Reairable?

Kanter does have a lot of C body stuff, but the 66 Imp is a D body. They don't have a heck of a lot for these.To do this job properly is not going to be real cheap. The 64-66 tanks are all the same, so the odds of getting a  good used are    goode also shops that will do a repair- rebuild on your tank. There are some that have done their own repair with a sealer that you slosh around inside the tank. To have that stuff do a decent jobs means the inside of the tank needs to be clean, which is usually a big part of the original problem. I've seen it suggested to put gravel or chains Etc in the tank with the cleaner & shake like crazy. Keep in mind that the slightest spark has the potential to cause a severe accident, so I'd think carefully before going this route. The was a feature in Old Cars Weekly a few years back on a company called "Gas Tank Renu". Their shop person said they have had 2 or 3 tanks go up even after the multi step cleaning & defuming process they use.
