Infinity speakers

I think the issue here is that there are more wires in the Infinity wiring harness then there are terminals on the generic speaker replacements. If the other wires are not connected, you won't be able to get fade or balance control.
If the price of buying new from Chrysler is an issue, Try a parts yard. The Infinity system was available on most models of Chrysler products from at least 1988 forward.

My other hobby is making speakers.  I would reccommend
goint to partsexpress.com.  Right now they have lots
of what i believe to be speakers that were used in
some chysler products.  These are made by OKNYo, and
are very cheap.  It would be hard to go too far wrong
on these since the highest priced one is probably
$5.00 and as little as $0.47 for tweeters.
