Heat soak & my starter motor

Hello Philippe=
I have had the same trouble with my '55 Imp which has a similar engine . It turns over slowly and refuses to start when hot, but starts o.k. when cold. Of course, mine is six volt, which does make a difference. I have suspected vapor lock in the cylinders and manifold, possibly caused by the carb leaking gas into the manifold when shut off.

Had the same problem on a 70 Dart, stock iron manifolds.  Problem was the
solenoid on the starter.
