Self-Introduction: Ray is Managing Director of a Computer Manufacturing /
installation & Support company. At 6' 6" ( 2 metres ) tall he has a problem
with finding cars big enough - needing extra head and legroom. After being
cramped in their much treasured 1955 Mk1 Ford Consul for 4 years they have
now bought a much larger motor - an extremely rare, 19 foot long, 1950
Chrysler Imperial DeLuxe 5.3 litre Sedan (featured).
Ray's musical "greats" are Jerry Lee (Lewis), Eddie Cochrane, Buddy Holly,
Big Bopper and very early Beatles ( pre '64 ). His hobbies include Classic
Cars ( of course ), Robotics, playing the guitar ( badly ) and the keyboards
( even worse !), computer visuals, watercolour painting and a spot of
greenhouse gardening.
Anita is a housewife and self-confessed shopaholic. She is building up a
fine collection of Rock'n'Roll clothes, is an avid collector of Dragons (
miniature- not real ) and a big fan of Elvis Presley and Elton John !! Oh
well - there's no accounting for taste.
Ray and Anita met in 1982 and after a whirlwind engagement ( lasting 18years
! ) finally married in September 2000 when Ray surprised Anita by arranging
a holiday and Wedding in Malta. They hope to retire there in years to come.
They have four sons and four grandchildren between them from previous
marriages.
They wear their Rock'n'Roll gear at car shows to attract attention from the
general public - not to themselves but to the Old Crocs stand where they
entice the public to donate towards the cause: Keech Cottage Children's
Hospice in Luton. Keech Cottage care for terminally ill children and their
families. You can read more about all this at www.oldcrocs.com
