Wow is right. You mean to say
that the ORIGINAL plates could
still be on the car?!?
New York changes plate design every
so often, (15 years or so?). And
when you sell the car, YOU keep the
plates to transfer to your new car.
Otherwise, you get to keep them
in the garage on a nail.
I do believe though, correct me
if I am wrong, that (in NY state)
you can buy
'historical' plates that will match
the ones that were in effect at
the time your car was built.
I have heard stories before that
in some states, the plates stay
with the car, and they leave them
on, even in the used car lots (!).
I would think it would make cars
too easy to steal.
Don't they also call license plates
'tags' in some states?
Imperial content?
Does anyone know when was
the first year that Chrysler had
factory cassette players? What
year were they first offered in
an Imperial?
