Power brakes (was IML: Chevy Imperial ?)

My 1953 Olds 98 Holiday had power brakes so it would follow that Cadillac did, too.  So did my '54 Cadillac Eldorado convertible.

Philippe;
I would hardly call a Facel Vega an ordinary French car but is there really
such a thing as an ordinary French car? Your story, and others, remind me of
the time I entered into a conversation with these two car guys about a brake
booster on a 55' Chebby, or was it a 56'? Anyhow I told them that my car was
a 54' Imperial and that it had power brakes and they couldn't believe it. I
then explained to them that an Imperial was Chrysler's equivalent to a
Cadillac but they still could believe it. It further blew them away when I
told them that the booster was under the floor with the master cylinder. I
am not sure when Chrysler introduced Power Brakes but it was definately
before Chebby, maybe even before Cadillac.
