Since everyone seems to be chatting about the "average" persons misconceptions -- here is my 2 cents worth. I am sure that any 64 - 66 imperial owners have received the same comments as I. ......" Isn't that a Lincoln? (no) Sure looks like one". I get these comments today. But -- I heard the same comments when these cars were new. Supposedly "savvy car nuts" always thought our families Imperials were Lincolns!!!!!! Especially our 66 4 door Crown. It was Black with a blood red leather interior. So you see --this case of mistaken idenity has a "long thread".
