If someone really wants to remove the A/C ( which other than a small amount of weight, is really doing nothing if it isnt turned ON ) you can do the engine part of it rather easily. Find another 383/400/413/440 without air conditioning and take ALL the accessory pulleys, brackets, etc that it has and dont forget to get the belts. Then all you need to do is remove the AC related components and install the NON A/C stuff. Now you will have the correct pulleys and alternator brackets, etc etc etc that you will need. This doesnt address any concerns about the hoses, receiver dryer, condenser, or any of the stuff inside of and on the firewall, but the engine wont know and doesnt care. Mikey 62 Crown Coupe
