The 68 dashes may all have the ATC grille for the in-car ambient sensor - every one I have seen has this, but I've never seen a 68 without ATC. You do have the standard AC controls, so someone may have converted the car back to standard AC (Lucky guy!). Do you have the right side vent lever, and does the right kick panel have a vent flap in it, like the one on the left kick panel? If not, I'm betting it is a converted car, and someone just didn't bother to put the right side vent stuff in there. Your data plate will tell you how the car was shipped (or you can look under the rear seat springs for the build sheet).
