This is definitely a 67, it was built about 1/4 of the way through the model year. Most likely you do not have ATC, but there have been some strange things showing up in our study, so I'd like to know if it has both vent levers over the radio, or only the left one. Your VIN decodes to a 2 door car, I hope that is what it is. It is a simple bolt-on job to replace the front end sheetmetal of a 67 with 68 equivalents, the only problem being that the side trim is different, and you will have side marker lights in the front and not in the back. If you note the size of the medallion which covers the gas cap, you'll see there are two sizes; the 67 is about 2/3 the size of the 68. Also, the brake/turn lights work on all 3 of the rear lenses on a 67, only the outer two on a 68. The 67 dash pad has a grab handle in front of the passenger, the 68 does not. The 67 has wood trim on the dash and door panels, the 68 has brass. The dashes are otherwise identical. The upholstery is different. There are a couple of other very minor differences, and there is a difference in the engines - while both have 440, the heads and carburetor are different. One can only guess why the front end was changed. It would probably be wise to take the car to an alignment shop and have them inspect the frame and undercarriage for old damage and welding. The search tune radio was offered in both AM-FM and AM only, the stereo radio (offered late in the year) did not have the search tune feature. The AM-FM with search tune is probably the most common radio in these cars, for both years, as the AM is found in only few cars, and the Stereo was outrageously expensive.
