58 spark plug wire cover color

I am always delighted to be corrected. Mine were silver when I got the car.
I painted them black but have now returned them to silver. Whereas the
covers may have been black on the 300, I still think they were silver on the
Imperial, which also has its own valve covers, with Imperial stamped into
them. I don't know what the 300 has. Chrysler, I dare say.

At one point I also painted the raised "IMPERIAL" lettering on the valve
covers black, as well. I didn't like for it to be so understated. However,
it did not look good. Imperials are supposed to be understated, I suppose.

Just like our big old fins!

Hugh
